The WoodcockA Program and Walk
Speaker/Leader: Patti Laudano
In early spring, at dawn and dusk, male woodcock come out of hiding and display their interesting mating ritual which starts with a beeping, quacking call. They leap into the air, fly hundreds of feet above in a wide circle, then land on the ground in the exact same spot they started in.
Slide presentation program will precede a walk on the grounds of the refuge.
